The first episode of the new series is on the theme of ‘Friends’. For this episode of The Poetry Show, the hosts; Rose Drew, Alan Gillott and Becca Miles are joined by special guest and friend, Kit Marshall. This episode looks into lost friends, new friends and old friends, featuring many great anecdotes and poems for your listening pleasure.
The show kicks off with a trio of awesome poems from Rose; titled, ‘Looking For A Friend’, ‘To A Friend’ and ‘Hey’. We are then treated to a fantastic poem from Alan called ‘Trust’, this poem looks at the fact that a true friend should be someone you can trust with your inner secrets. Becca Miles then lets us in on one of her relationships with her friend in ‘It’s Love But Not As You Know It’. Finally the last poem is from our guest, Kit Marshall – ‘An Ode To Josh’ looks into friendship crushes.
